About grf-design

grf-design

grf-design is a small information/interactive design unit, providing creative services for years with expertise in visual arts and computer programming.

Founded in 1998 by Takashi Mizohata, graphic design was one of the first discipline, and as the Internet having more presence in the real world, we are more focusing on information/interactive design, in order to maximize communication between people.

Takashi Mizohata

Takashi was born and raised in suburb of Tokyo, Japan. His father was always a guy who like something new. So Takashi was surrounded by a lot of weird stuff, including a personal computer, since when he was 7 years old.

Takashi didn't pay a lot of attention to the computer until his brother got an Apple Power Macintosh. He started stay in front of the computer, and learned how to use it by himself. And one day, his first-made morphing movie (Remember Michael Jackson's “Black and White” ? Something like that.) amazed all the family member. That was the beginning of his creative life.

While Takashi started visual arts projects on the side, he received a B.A. in Comparative LIterature, from Chiba University. Then he moved to NYC and received M.P.S in Interactive Telecommunication from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts.

Takashi now dwells in small apartment in Brooklyn, New York.
